Managed business systems

Microsoft 365 managed as a business service, not just a collection of licences.

Microsoft 365 can support email, identity, files and collaboration across an organisation. We provide clear administrative ownership, user support and security management so the environment remains organised as people and requirements change.

Managed productivity

Clear ownership beyond the initial setup.

A Microsoft 365 tenant develops continuously as users join and leave, licences change and new collaboration services are introduced. Without clear ownership, access, information and administrative responsibilities can become difficult to control.

We manage the agreed Microsoft 365 environment as an ongoing service, combining routine administration, user support, security controls and documented technical responsibility.

What we manage

Administration across the core Microsoft 365 environment.

01

Tenant administration

Ongoing administration of the agreed Microsoft 365 environment, settings, domains and service configuration.

02

User creation, access changes, licence assignment and orderly account removal when people leave.

03

Email management

Administration and support for Exchange Online mailboxes, shared mailboxes, aliases and agreed mail-flow settings.

04

Identity and security

Multi-factor authentication, appropriate administrative roles and practical account-security improvements.

05

Collaboration services

Support for agreed Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive configuration and everyday administration.

06

Service support

Service situations

Support for existing tenants and planned change.

The final management scope depends on the services in use, tenant condition, user numbers, licensing and any existing supplier arrangements.

01

Existing Microsoft 365 tenants

Review and ongoing administration of an established tenant, including ownership, access and configuration.

02

New Microsoft 365 setups

Planning and configuration of a suitable tenant, domains, users, security baseline and core services.

03

Email and data migrations

Planned movement from another email or collaboration platform under a separately agreed migration project.

04

Growing organisations

Ongoing administration as user numbers, teams, information structures and operational requirements change.

Management requirements

The tenant must have clear ownership and controlled access.

Managed Microsoft 365 normally requires:

  • Verified ownership of the tenant and associated domains.
  • Appropriate delegated or administrative access.
  • Suitable Microsoft licences for the required services.
  • Multi-factor authentication for users and administrators.
  • Documented user-approval and access-change processes.
  • Clear responsibility for DNS, licensing and related suppliers.

Defined service scope

Administration, licensing and projects remain clearly separated.

Licence supply

Licences may be supplied through an agreed arrangement or retained with an existing provider. Required products and subscription costs remain clearly identified.

Migration projects

Mailbox, file and collaboration migrations require separate discovery, planning, testing and transition arrangements.

Endpoint management

Microsoft 365 administration does not automatically include the management of computers and mobile devices. Device coverage is defined separately.

Backup and recovery

Retention within Microsoft 365 is not treated as a complete independent backup strategy. Additional backup protection can be assessed against the organisation’s recovery requirements.
